🖥️ Modern Pioneers of UX

Industrial Revolution (early 1900s):

UX Connection: Ford and Taylor’s focus on optimizing worker’s relationship with their tools/space is similar to the type of problems UX designers seek to solve today! For example, how can we optimize digital spaces to make them intuitive and comfortable for the user?

Toyota (1940s): the first instances of user testing were used with Toyota’s Toyota Production System. The system allowed worker’s to point out issues/possible improvements to the assembly line they worked on.
